  • There's a little imprint behind your left ear. Have someone check it out and tell you.
  • You're a democrat. The Republicans are the ones who jailed you.
  • Well, you could take some political spectrum test, but I really don't recommend declaring with a party. Look at the candidates and vote for who you agree with. The only thing you'd need to declare for is caucusing. If you think you like Candidate A of a party better than candidate B, register for the caucuses, but don't consider Dem/GoP something you have to live by.
  • You NEVER have to join a political party and when voting for your president you never have to vote for anyone in your party you can vote for another party and if yourn not in a party still vote for anyone
  • personally, i would never register for any party if i didn't have to. i usually vote independent myself ;)
  • My choices this election fall into 4 tiers. As a Libertarian, my first support would be for Bob Barr of the Libertarian party. http://www.lp.org/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Barr http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libertarian Granted, he has a shady past as a Republican, but as the LP candidate is quite unlikely to be president, I can afford to be ideological. However, should there be those who are truer in their Libertarianism, I'd support them. I suppose a Steve Kubby would have been preferable: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Kubby but I had other pressing commitments of my time at the time of the Libertarian Party primary. Next, I support minority party candidates, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third_party_%28United_States%29 and some info here too http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_election%2C_2008 like Ralph Nader http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ralph_Nader or Cynthia McKinney. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cynthia_McKinney http://www.gp.org/index.php Cynthia McKinney Announces Run for President http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03cOM9r51Nw Of those who ran in the major parties, my choice would be Ron Paul. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_Paul Ron Paul 4 Freedom - Music Video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlPjsGFcXlg Finally of the 3, now 2, contenders (Obama, McCain, and when she was running, Hillary), I support Obama, as I oppose this costly war, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iraq_War http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Financial_cost_of_the_Iraq_War he opposed it from the beginning, and he can be a challenge to the insiders ---of whom McCain, the Bush's and Clintons, are clearly members of.
  • Generally, democrats are for bigger government, and directly help the middle and lower class =. IE, more government programs, like universal healthcare, etc etc. They like to directly help the middle class with tax cuts and raise taxes for the richer people and businesses. Usually for stem cell research, pro-choice, more restrictions on guns, etc. Republicans like to use the trickle down effect, by cutting taxes on the businesses and people in charge, hoping that they will lower their prices and in that way help the middle and lower class. They are for smaller government, IE you are on your own, but the government wont force you to do things. Usually against stem cell research, pro-life, less restrictions on guns. These, however, are gross generalizations and you need to research the specific candidate to find out his policies.
  • I must start by saying that I am not from your country, but you may be interested to hear an interested outsiders view on things. First you've got to understand that there is no left-wing or right wing in US politics. The entire population is so afraid of communism, or any possible perceived link with it, that the entire US political scene is right-wing with even smaller differences between the parties than is the case in other countries. In addition, there are immensely influential organisations and individuals operating behind the political scenes, effectively pulling the strings of puppet politicians. Once you realise this you will realise that who you vote for will actually make very little difference to the way your country is run.
