She would have been stoned for it.

First of all, if you found out that a woman was pregnant and she clamed that she was a virgin and that the child was the Son of God, what would your reaction be? For the vast majority of people, the reaction would be, "Yeah, right!" In Mary's day that thought would have been followed by, "Pass me a stone." as the people prepared to stone her as an adulteress. So, it would not have done her much good to have told every one what had really happened.

The story of a virgin birth is not true. It is a doctrine taken over from pagan mythology. A lot other dogmatic beliefs have similar stories.

Actually the verse simply says that a 'young woman' would conceive and bear a child as a sign to King Ahaz of Israel. Note especially verse 16 : 10 And the LORD spoke again unto Ahaz, saying: 11'Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God: ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.' 12But Ahaz said: 'I will not ask, neither will I try the LORD.' 13And he said: 'Hear ye now, O house of David: Is it a small thing for you to weary men, that ye will weary my God also? 14Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign: behold, the young woman shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. 15Curd and honey shall he eat, when he knoweth to refuse the evil, and choose the good. 16 Yea, before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land whose two kings thou hast a horror of shall be forsaken.

Oh, yes, she did. She posted a question on AB that said "I'm a 12-year old virgin who's only had sex with 6 guys and maybe a god or two, I haven't had my period in 3 months. I'm itching, drooling and have eczema on my feet. Am I pregnant?" Y'all must have missed that one
