When I run, it feels like only the balls of my feet hit the floor. When I try to make them rock back to the heel, it feels funny. What could be the problem?

It is natural for only the balls of your feet to touch the ground when running. Indeed, this is how most animals run. By using the balls of your feet you are extending the length of your legs by about 5 inches each, meaning you have a longer stride and can cover the ground more quickly. So, there's no problem.
