The "crap" part is the politically correct euphemism for sh**..the "acular" part comes from "spectacular"..
that lovely word can be applied to many things...you find it often among politicos, government leaders, oil company execs, cigarette company owners, pharmaceutical companies. It is a very useful word! :(
