For those who have never handled a gun: do you think that you would be able to semi-successfully use a firearm based off of what you've seen in television or in the movies?

Yes, I think I could. At the very least, I could operate a handgun. Rifles are more complex.

If all I have to do is shoot it, yes. But if I had other things to do, like loading a gun and stuff, no.

We have guns in the house(hunting)and I have never touched them but I think if I needed to I could use it.One evening I went for a walk in my backyard and huge black bear was there.I had the dog with me and ran back to the house.The bear was sniffing the air on his hind legs trying to figure out what the dog was.Man I was some glad to get in the house.If he would have came to the house I was all ready for him.They don't usually.

No, this would take alot more practice than I've had. I can handle a gun, to protect myself.
