If I was getting paid, I'd totally pay them early.
-
I wish I could pay them early. I barely am able to pay them by the due date as it is!
-
I pay nearly all of my bills online so I can schedule the date I want the payment to be received. I usually make sure the payment is received about 2 days before the due date just in case there are any glitches. I hate paying fees for something out of my control.
-
I pay on the due date so that I get the interest to the very last minute rather than them getting it!
-
I pay them a couple of days before they are due. That way I can hold on to my money and get interest for as long as possible, and have a couple of days cushion in case I get busy and don't have a chance to pay them.
-
as close to the due date as possible or after but before the late charge date. There are good reasons for this!
-
Early and in full.
-
I would pay them on the due date.
-
90% of my bills are paid automatically. I just fee the 'bills' account and they are done. I only know the dates of the H2O bill, because they take it out on the due date.
-
Early. I hate the rush to pay bills that I don't like to pay in the first place.
-
I try to pay them in advance so that I may not forget to pay them in-time.
-
I pay bills (personal and business) every Tuesday morning while I wait for the grocery delivery to show up. Whatever bills showed up during the week get paid at that time.
-
As soon as I can as long as I have the money. I never wait to even close to the due date.
-
When I worked I got paid every 2 weeks. One week was bills week and the other rent week. I would pay all my bills when I got that check. My husband on the other hand likes to wait till the last minute to pay his bills.
-
i pay my bills online the day before payment is due
-
Direct Debit. Where would I be without it? (in debt!)
-
I usually pay them as soon as they arrive in the mail, so that I don't have to stare at them any longer than necessary!
-
These days... it is getting harder and harder to pay on time.
-
HEH! On time! Last month I waited till the last minute and there went my entire paycheck! I'm not doing that again!!!
-
I pay my bills the day after my retirement check is deposited in my checking account.
-
This is what I like most about on-line banking. As soon as the bill comes in, I schedule it for payment. But I schedule the payment for the last date at which it would still get to the company on time - I like to keep the money in my account as long as possible. +5
-
I pay them early. I don't want them to pile up. That would be a bigger problem. Personally I don't see the point of paying till the last minute. I would have to pay them anyway.
-
direct debit.:-)
-
I pay online around 10 days before the bills are due
-
We keep our money in interest paying accounts until the bills are due. Most are paid by direct transfer, but the ones that have to be mailed are mailed about 10 days in advance. Everything that can be scheduled online is done in advance.
-
Yes--I hate late fees.
-

No, sometimes I dont have the money to pay them right on the due date but I don't get anything turned off I just have to pay the late fees.
-
I wish I could pay them early. Usually I pay them right before the service would be cut off. So, I am always 1 month behind, because I end up being double billed.
-
Both, depends on the bill and how much.
-
I usually pay my bills on the due date, or a couple days early if the due date is on a weekend. I pay them online through the bank so I'm always sure they will be paid on the date I specify.
-

As a caregiver, and age 70, I never know when an emergency might hit...e.g., an unexpected hospital event. With that in mind, I've taken to advance paying all bills...some up to six months. Consequently, when my bills arrive, they always show a credit. If something did happen that would take me out of circulation for a while, there would be a reasonably lengthy period of time before any payments would fall into arrears. The peace of mind is worth more than anything to me.
-
I hardly ever pay early because i just forget.:( I usually pay by the first "reminder" though =P
-
I pay my bills as early as possible to avoid paying extra interest on the total due. The only bills that I wait until the last couple of days before the due date are the ones that do not incur interest...ie 90 days same as cash.
-
I pay them the day I receive them
-
I pay them early. I like to have a firm grasp on just how broke I really am before I get too far into the month.
-
Early and as soon as they arrive.
-
I pay all my bills on the first of ever month. Get it over and done with as soon as possible.
-
On time if there is a penalty. Late if there is no penalty. I bought the credit when I bought the goods, it's in the price.
-
I would love to pay my bills early. I just need alot of money to pay what is past-due, then I will be current and can pay the bills at least by the due date.
-
every bill is paid automatically on the date it is due. i guess if i were getting 0.5% interest on the savings each year, it might add up to maybe 50 cents a year.
-
It depends. I have my utility bills and mortgage as direct debits. I mail the payment to one of my credit cards a week or two ahead of due date... the other one I can schedule a transfer within my bank 2 days before it's due. I'm lucky to be in a position to pay them off every month. If I get a one-time invoice (usually small amounts), I pay them right away to avoid forgetting them.
-
EARLY.
