I don't know anyone who has so my first instinct was no. But if you think about all the countries that degrade women and still use them as objects, it might be possible! But I hope not!!

Actually the data I remember from a couple of years ago is that about 1/3 (say, 33%) of women have been sexually abused IN SOME WAY in their lives. Rape is less common than that... though one must take into consideration that many rapes and sexual abuses go un-reported. So to answer your question, that is not true.

Definitely not in the countries that we're all probably from (i.e. the US, England, etc.) but if you think about it on a global perspective, counting all of the women in third-world countries where there are millions of them and lots of rape, that could screw with the data. But what about the men? It seems like a lot of times we focus on the rape of women, but very rarely men, which I don't think is fair at all.

I'm sorry to say if not that high close to it or maybe it is even higher. Almost every woman I know was either molested, sexually attacked, abused or outright raped as a child, teen or adult. Date rape counts and so does giving into a man to get away from him. Giving a man sex without your complete OK is rape as far as I am concerned. If you were afraid of the man and felt the only way to get away from him was to give sex to him, you were raped. In some countries it may be close to 100%.

According to my training in law enforcement, it is estimated that about 25% of all females are sexually assaulted during their lives in some manner. This could mean anything from rape to receiving unwelcomed intimate touching.

I lived in a poorer area of the country and growing up I had been both molested and raped. Most of my friends were the same way. I managed to get out of that area and now live in a very good community thousands of miles away. I have some very close friends and they know what happened to me, but not one of them has gone through it. I really think that economy has a lot to do with crime, and not just robberies.

It is not that high but is higher then that for mentally and physically handicapped girls....

in australia sadly it is true, just about everygirl icluding me and 3 male friends have had it happen, my little sister is the only girl in australia i know who hasnt been raped, and i plan to keep it that way.
