Well, yes.....but it was not so much admiration as it was obssession....being stalked is not my idea of a good time. I was lucky to have been taken seriously when I reported this to the campus police, and they were very effective in helping me resolve the situation...but it probably also helped that the guy wasn't bat-shit crazy enough to try to seriously hurt me......he just wanted to "be near me".....this was 8 years ago and it still gives me the creeps!

Yes, once. I lived in this really small town, and he tried to go all 'secret agent' in telling me that he liked me. He sent me an email asking me to meet this mysterious person at a restaurant nearby. They wouldn't identify themselves so I brought my guy friend in case we had to throw down. Turns out it was this really skeezy guy. It was flattering, but I was not interested. Then he stole my favorite VHS. *sigh*

Yes, a couple before I was married--high school and junior high. It was a great feeling. But it was never a pleasant surprise when unveiled.

Hoping one just became not-so-secret. Will find out soon. http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/3843170 Had a business associate who always touched my arms, looked at me a lot, repeated my name a lot, and hung around me a lot at events. I was clueless at the time and just thought we were professional friends and comfortable around each other. Found out years later he really had a thing 4 me. Can't believe I was so clueless because others thought it wasn't much of a secret.

YES! i got a letter in the mail from a man who introduced himself to me, told me where he'd seen me and told me he thought i was beautiful and expressed interest in getting to know me. made my day!! (and then some) my fiance was less impressed...

Yes, I have had a number of them. Overall they were bad experiences because I didnt have an interest in them and was uncomfortable telling them that because I didnt want to hurt them. Also, one of them eventually turned into a stalker which was even worse.

If I ever did she did a good job of keeping her admiration secret.

Yes! By a 60 year old mailman who delivers mail at my job. And I'm old enough to be his child! Once I found out it was kind of strange because he comes across like a shy teenager. What annoyed me the most was him telling my colleagues that I was his girlfriend. They thought it was cute, and funny, but I didn't and still don't. He's been asking me out for the past 3 years and he can't understand why I leave my office when I see him coming. This guy is too old to be taught the word, NO! He should be used to hearing it by now.
