  • I find it very interesting because it focuses on the group perception of people and not the individual unlike Psychology. And peoples willingness to belong to something greater than themselves and sometimes at a great cost to their individuality, High-school life is probably the best example of Sociology ive seen like your split in groups like the "jocks" or the "geeks" or "preps" its all broken down that way. Although people dont realize that everyone is a person and may have the same interests as you (thats why i hated high-school) its about the glam not the person.
  • I love sociology class. My teacher has talked about some larger scale sociological examinations that others have demonstrated and I would really like to conduct one, just out of interest. I'm not sure what it is. I guess it gives you another perspective on how others view the world and how life functions as one even though everyone is going their own ways.
  • I rather like sociology, I'm good at getting into eople's heads like that, manipulating people, and it's alot easier with a group or society as a whole.
  • I have sociology this semester, and I think I'll like it. Social psychology was my best area in psychology, so hopefully I'll do good.
  • Diversification starts very early in your childhood about around 3 or 4 years old. At this time the child starts to realize they are an individual. Seems to me that the real question is, "are you a product of environment or are you a product circumstance"? In either case the subject is so appealing to nearly everyone the it's experiments are now all we see on T.V. today. What dreams may come??? Did mommy and Daddy tell you that you could grow up to be President? Do you truely think that is possible? Which will give you the edge, environment or circumstance?
  • Sociology is possibly the greatest thing ever. It's the most important too. It's the foundation of civilization. Everyone should have to study it. If everyone took the same amount of interest in it as I did, then there would be a lot less discrimination in the world. Not to sound self-righteous, but that's the kind of perspective it gives you.
  • I found it very boring but I have walked away with things I'm all the better for.
  • I frankly don't know why someone who finds Sociology boring would click on the theme 'Sociology' in the first place, and why they'd be here to answer this.
