Confusing question, chapter 11 in the book of Job is Zophar's speech. Now in chapter 1, VERSE 11 satan says that if God removes his protection from Job, that Job(humans)will curse God to his very face. So, in other words, he is saying that humans are not loyal or faithful unless there is something in it for them.

Job 12:4 I am [as] one mocked of his neighbour, who calleth upon God, and he answereth him: the just upright [man is] laughed to scorn. Job 42:7 And it was [so], that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me [the thing that is] right, as my servant Job [hath]. His temptation that came through his friends was to believe he wasn't clean and pure before God. Job 11:4 For thou hast said, My doctrine [is] pure, and I am clean in thine eyes.

In chapter 11: it was Zo'phar the Naamathite who was accusing Job of wrongdoing, (Job's false friend.) *** Rbi8 Job 11:1 *** 11 And Zo'phar the Na'a•ma•thite proceeded to answer and say:-------- Satan' charge is found in the(Job 1:6-12) Now it came to be the day when the sons of the [true] God entered to take their station before Jehovah, and even Satan proceeded to enter right among them. 7 Then Jehovah said to Satan: “Where do you come from?” At that Satan answered Jehovah and said: “From roving about in the earth and from walking about in it.” 8 And Jehovah went on to say to Satan: “Have you set your heart upon my servant Job, that there is no one like him in the earth, a man blameless and upright, fearing God and turning aside from bad?” 9 At that Satan answered Jehovah and said: “Is it for nothing that Job has feared God? 10 Have not you yourself put up a hedge about him and about his house and about everything that he has all around? The work of his hands you have blessed, and his livestock itself has spread abroad in the earth. 11 But, for a change, thrust out your hand, please, and touch everything he has [and see] whether he will not curse you to your very face.” 12 Accordingly Jehovah said to Satan: “Look! Everything that he has is in your hand. Only against him himself do not thrust out your hand!” So Satan went out away from the person of Jehovah.

satans charge was to get as many as he can to turn on God...starting with Eve....its always been his "charge"....he used Job's wife and friends ...they weren't as faithful as Job....most of us aren't..it does not take much for us to BLAME God and turn our backs on HIM..prime example of our humanness was the ISRAELITES.....and we have experienced none of POWER of GOD as they did...and still they turned...LEFT HIM...but not Job..:) his entire PURPOSE is to OPPOSE and get us to OPPOSE...

Although the answer to this question has already been answered thoroughly, I'd like to point out a side note about Job's account. This account not only shows us that Satan believes humans will curse God if their health, families, and possessions are taken from them, but it also helps us to see that God is not the cause of human suffering. Clearly, Satan is the one who did these terrible things to Job, and his own wife even spoke to him in an abusive manner. "curse God and die" she said! Job's own friends had nothing positive to say to him either. The cause of human suffering has always been first and foremost ourselves, and second Satan. In Job's case, Satan was the primary cause of his suffering. "I returned to see under the sun that the swift do not have the race, nor the mighty ones the battle, nor do the wise also have the food, nor do the understanding ones also have the riches, nor do even those having knowledge have the favor; because time and unforeseen occurrence befall them all." (Ecclesiastes 9:11) This verse helps us to see that God is not 'out to get us.' Bad things just happen, and sometimes, as in Job's case we are the target of demonic forces. But most of the time, it's just humans or life in general who cause our suffering.
