What a great question, and also a great comment on society. I wish I had a good answer. Maybe because we are never overly concerned when things are going good, but are worried when things are bad.

Do good be good see good Do peace be peaceful see peace shut off the telepoison turn on your lovelight
-
i believe it's just that people are more worried about war. i usually talk peace cause its cool so peace!

even in our personal lives, the word "problem" comes up way more often than the word "peace". I gotta work on that! Salaam / Shalom / wishing "Peace" just isn't the same in English. "Go in peace" is archaic, "Pace" is in Latin, "Peace be with you" is in church. Hm.

Probably for the same reasons it is OK to talk in the media about violence, dysfunction, conflict and murder, yet, fines will be imposed if you utter the word F**K. It's Ok to speak of ending life, but it is wrong (?) to speak about how life begins. What a screwed up world we live in.

The word ‘peace’ doesn’t sell. It doesn’t sell newspapers, fat government contracts, votes etc, etc, etc.
-
Because the majority of humanity has got it's collective heads stuck so far up their arses that the only way to get their attention is to make war on them.
-
Because peace doesn't exist, it's just a break in wars
-
its always been popular thru history. Aristotle: We make war that we may live in peace. John F. Kennedy: It is an unfortunate fact that we can secure peace only by preparing for war.
