Let's not insult the intelligence of NASCAR drivers. They're not just drivers. They are businessmen, mechanics, drivers, athletes, etc. It takes a lot more than left turn signals - you have to factor in the processing of 160 - 200 MPH, the other 40 cars around you, the track conditions, your car condition and the weather. It's a lot to process with your life in your hands.

it depends: on the turn, the speed, the suspension, how the car is handling, the other cars around you, if your breaks are working, if the track is wet, the condition of your tires, the little bit of plastic on the track that if sucked up in your carborator will completely ruin your car...
