The link that my brother posted does a pretty good job of explaining our beliefs concerning our divine ancestry and potential. However, there is more to this question than that. As deities in our own right (but never equal to our Heavenly Father) we will eventually create and populate our own worlds. However, this is where the anti-Mormons really like to put a negative spin on this doctrine. They like to talk about us making spirit babies and even going so far as to say the women will be eternally pregnant. (What woman in her right mind would want to be pregnant for all of eternity?) The fact of the matter is that the Father has not chosen to reveal the process by which spirits are created. We actually know very little about just what preceded the creation of the Earth. So, any ideas about how spirits are created are just speculation. However, I would suspect that an omnipotent being like our Heavenly Father would have a much more efficient way of producing spirit offspring than the rather cumbersome and uncomfortable way that we have to produce young here in mortality.
