  • Smoking cigarettes is not ok, it's unhealthy. It causes all kinds of illnesses and health problems, but it is legal. It just takes longer to kill you than heroin will. Shooting drugs is a dangerous business even under the best of circumstances--using clean needles, getting good quality drugs, that sort of thing. Heroin is illegal, so obtaining it causes a whole new set of problems such as getting arrested, covering track marks, stealing from family and friends, not to mention the lies you tell trying to hide your habit. Besides, no matter what you may hear, getting off heroin is a hell of a lot worse than getting off nicotine.
  • Heroin can kill you post haste (for some dying can happen on the first hit) not to mention the addiction and what it makes you do.
  • Isn't that a little like asking, "Why is shooting people with water pistols OK, but throwing live grenades at the neighbors isn't?" I found this on the web at http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/archive/index.php/t-38927.html "You really can't compare quitting other substances to quitting heroin. It's something you're pretty much tied to for life. And the way a heroin addiction works is much more complex than most other addictions. Not to mention there is almost nothing on earth worse than heroin withdrawals... at least while you're going through them." Maybe that's why heroin is so much worse than tobacco.
