Men...if you raised a child for at least 5 yrs & thought it was yours & your gf/spouse told you that it may not be your child, would you want a DNA test? If the test came back that the kid was not yours, would you still be a part of the child's life?

If you have chosen to raise the kid that long as his dad then you are. It's about the relationship at this point.

Unless it's really gnawing at you then skip the test. I think it can only lead to bad blood.

But if you do get it expect unintended consequences of the answer.

I am a woman. I was just curios about what a man's perspective would be. I told my hubby that I want a maternity test because neither of my children look like me. =]

Hmmmm... A maternity test :-)

I think that "special feeling" as the head begins coming out would point you in the right direction. :-)

But actually, I have a step son whom I love and don't even think about the "step" bit.

And I have a little girl who's just too damn cute to be mine :-) :-) :-)

I hear ya. I get along better w/ my 2 step children better than my own son. He is in so much trouble & has no respect for me or any authority figure. It's breaking my hear but I had to send him to Ohio (I live in FL0 to get him straightened out). He got he Gf pregnant was they were both 14 & I am at my wits end. I was watching Maury Povich w/ the paternity tests. I had mu hubby cracking up cuz I told him that I feel like the "egg donor". Neither of my kids look like me at all. I told him I'm calling Maury. LOL.

That's tough. But I have to say it may just be that you should try and get him closer to you that send him away. Puberty's a bitch but it's a time when kids really need help, support, and all that.

You can call me darlin'. I am one. ;). I tried to keep him here but things just got worse. Once his GF got prego, that was it. Her mom would sneak him over to her house to let him spend the night over there & sleep in the same room w. her daughter. WTF?? that mom is a piece od shit & I feel sorry for her 2 daughters. She's the same age as me & thinks that I am a prude cuz I don't want my son having sex & smoking pot @ his age. He is very smart but is blowing it all. I hate to see him throw his life out the door like this. Any suggestions??
