Definitely not. If the plane's going down, I'd find it hard to believe that any one seat would make a difference. I think it would be a waste of money.
-
No, that would be a waste of money.

Nope, most likely if the plane goes down, all the seats are going with it. They only way I would pay more for it is if it was made of the same material that the black box is made of and I was surrounded by it.
-
No way. "Safest" is relative in this case. It might be a safer seat, but you still probably have a 99.8% chance of dying if the plane goes down as compared to 99.9% in the other seats. I'm not paying more for .1%

If it was in first class and I got my own beverage cart, maybe.
-
Nope, if it's your time it's over anyway.
-
i doubt they'd let me have the seat anyways.

Never! Airfare is through the roof already!

No way would I pay extra and that is something that cannot be guaranteed. Even exit row seating is not considered the "safest" because as has been shown in several previous crashes, sometimes the exits are unusable or unsafe on one or both sides of the plane. Quick thinking and quick action are the key to survivability on planes that crash but have a short time to allow disembarkation.
