  • the tiles in the bathroom are falling off and there is mold behind them. our overhead vent in the kitchen shocks us when we touch it. our bathtub shocks us from time to time when we get in it. there is a crack in our skylight that he fixed with duck tape. our stove hasnt worked since november or last year. I have gone to him about this several times and he doesnt seem to be concerned about this.
  • Unless you are getting a great deal I would think about moving. All the problems would make it difficult for him to hold you to a lease. Just document the condition of the house before you leave. If it is a great deal and/or you like the place you could offer to fix the problems and deduct the cost of repairs out of the rent you send the landloard. Just don't do this without getting something in writing first, or he might not except the work as payment for rent.
  • You don't live in south texas do you? That sounds like my aunts landlord, it isn't that bad though!
