Where does the pressure come from for girls to be more worried about how they look than men? Is it from men or from other women that women feel that they have to make themselves look good? Or is it a little of both?

both id say. as a woman. i dress up when i go out because i want to look attractive to guys, but i feel under pressure to dress up for work ( all woman job) because the others would look down there noses at me if i came in with the just out of bed look. tho i really dont get why.

It's mostly the media. Most girls get hit on alot no matter what they look like. Real life guys aren't nearly as picky as the gay guys on e! that have somehow become the authority on what's hot and what's not.

from men. the remarks about everything wrong with her body, comments about her weight, boobs not big enough, complaints about stretch marks, comparing her negatively to other women, pointing out other women that are "better" than her.....list goes on and on
