I believe a Troll is on the loose here at this very moment! Do you think that whenever an answer is rated, you should be notified as to who rated it so that you can report them if you suspect "trollism"?

No, because people would downrate in retaliation. I think people should have to write one or two words about -why- they downrated, so you can maybe appeal your DR. but *that* would probably need to have something like "if you appeal and fail, the mods have the discretion to increase it" so that people who write truly hateful answers can't appeal their DRs and clog the site.

This place seems to work pretty good the way it is. Perfect, no, but it works.

I still believe that to DR. you should leave a name and reason . I know people that have DR me time and time again but I have never retaliated, as my figures prove; If people had to give a reason they would not just throw the DRs about all over the place for no reason.Thus all the Troll peeves would be cut to a minimum and a happier less suspicious site would evolve.

no, because hen people who a upset about being downrated because it hurt their ego will report the person as a troll. even though i know theres maybe one in a million that would do that it only takes one person to ruin things for the rest of us.
