  • I dont believe in God. I do believe in a higher power.
  • not at all, other than the physical laws of nature
  • Absolutely, I believe in God
  • I certainly do.
  • No. I believe it's highly improbable (although not impossible) that God exists. However, if God DOES exist (based on a .000001% chance), he/she/it is probably nothing like any religion/theology on Earth has described.
  • Look around you... For me, anyway, that's enough.
  • nope I have no tangible evidence to prove such
  • Faith for me.
  • Yes I believe in God because I'm a Christian and have been raised in the Christian faith. If there was proof God exists, then there would be no test of faith. It's acknowledged that Christ existed. I have nothing to lose by having faith. My faith grows stronger as I get older. Hormones were working against me when younger.
  • "God either exists or He doesn't. Based on the testimony, both general revelation (nature) and special revelation (Scriptures/Bible), it is safe to assume that God does in fact exist. It is abundantly fair to conceive, that there is at least 50% chance that the Christian Creator God does in fact exist. Therefore, since we stand to gain eternity, and thus infinity, the wise and safe choice is to live as though God does exist. If we are right, we gain everything, and lose nothing. If we are wrong, we lose nothing and gain nothing. Therefore, based on simple mathematics, only the fool would choose to live a Godless life." (Pascal Wager)
  • The great thing about the theory behind God is that there is no way to prove there is a God, nor can you prove there isnt. It is all personal and all irrelevant.
  • i believe i do i was raised christian - specifically catholic it was something that was instilled in me but sometimes, you just know. i'm not cathlic but i do believe in God, and when i converted i went through some big tests for myself, but it just made sense to me. and honestly i personally just don't like the idea of nothing being after this. it just seems anticlimactic to me. maybe that's naive or something i don't know, but given how things work so much like a system, this huge life puzzle (effed up as it seems sometimes to me) i get what people mean by "the bigger picture" and for that, i believe in God.
  • Yes, I believe. I've believed all my life, and, if I needed proof, I have seen miracles that prove it to me. I've personally witnessed the blind made to see, the dead breath again, storms split and go around my hometown, holes appear in storms I'm driving through (and by that, I mean my location had little rain, no wind, no hail, while all around me I see trees being whipped around, hail the size of golfballs or larger bouncing off the ground where they hit, and sheets of rain you couldn't see through), and I've heard stories of many other miracles from people I know to be trustworthy. Yes, I believe in God, and yes, I believe I have proof, although I have documented none of it. Memories I can pass on are all - believe them or not, as you will.
  • “How on earth can religious people believe in so much arbitrary, clearly invented balderdash?.... The acceptance of a creed, any creed, entitles the acceptor to membership in the sort of artificial extended family we call a congregation. It is a way to fight loneliness. Any time I see a person fleeing from reason and into religion, I think to myself, There goes a person who simply cannot stand being so goddamned lonely anymore.” Kurt Vonnegut Jr.
  • On a superficial level, everything I can see with my naked eye is something that I can explain without needing to mention God. No proof there. Going deeper, however, everything is made up of particles that had to have originated somewhere, but there is no real explanation for this yet. Does that mean God is responsible? Well....no. In fact, God being responsible for the universe is not even likely...it's not even a 50% chance. There are hundreds upon hundreds of different creation beliefs, so the thought that just one of them is correct is a very low chance. Plus, the chance that we will find an explanation in the future that does not require a supernatural being in the equation is much more likely. So no, I don't believe in God. The fact that people still do is mind-boggling.
  • No, I don't.
  • Never. Get some spelling lessons.
  • Not in a biblical sence no!!or any other organized religious belief...
  • I believe in a higher power, though not in a religious or conventional sense.
  • Yes. We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in being with the Father. Through Him all things were made. For us and our salvation He came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit, He was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate; He suffered, died, and was buried. On the third day He rose again in fulfillment of the scriptures: He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son, He is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen. -- The Nicene Creed (from the year 325) With love in Christ.
  • Well, I believe that there is something out there. Probably not anthropromorphic, however. It is hard to think that animals, the Earth, the Milky Way Galaxy, the Universe, and everything else happened by accident. There must be a higher power somewhere. I just don't know what.
  • I believe in the grease-cutting power of Formula 409.
  • yes; light, love and source, the point from which all life enemates.
  • Great Spirit comes closest to my belief.
  • Yes, I believe in an Almighty God and Jesus Christ, the son of God.
  • I'm Catholic, so I believe in God, the creator of all things, and in His son, Jesus Christ.
  • Yep, I'm Catholic, I believe in a merciful God, the father, who sent His Son, Jesus, down to save us from our sins and gain for us eternal life with him. I believe in the Holy Spirit which Jesus promised to us to lead us and guide us. I believe that they are three persons in one (like a clover) and that is God.
  • Yes I do.
  • Yes I do.
  • No for the thousandth time.
  • If this question stands as singular, I would take that as evidence of a diety.
  • Wish I could but doubt it!!
  • I believe in God.
  • Supreme power is Almighty!
  • I'm my own god and my own higher power
  • Is your question about some one should believe or you tare asking whether to believe? If it is latter you should, till you find out where you camefrom and where you are going. It is a life long struggle. More if you want to know latter.
  • I do believe in God...also Jesus.
  • I personally believe in God and always will.
  • Dunno. But I'm pretty sure if he wants to talk to me he knows how to find me. So far, the lack of interest he's shown has been a kind of message in itself!
  • No. There is no evidence to support the existence of such a being. If there was a God the world would not be the capricious random place that it is.
  • No, not in the capitalized letter sense.
  • No. You only have to look closely at religion for a short while to see the glaring fiction that it is.
  • Yes, I really do.
  • A transcendent thing of some sort. Teleology is something interesting I been looking at. (look it up!)
  • I try not to get into questions like these, but I just can't help it, so please don't try to kill me with negative points. I believe there is a God, and I don't need any proof but what I feel in my heart when I speak to him. His word also makes total sense... I mean, not like the old English, because that just confuses me. But all the principles he lays out.
  • i dont beleive in god i believe in me and my higher power.
  • I don't believe in the existence of a god or gods. I am my own high power
  • I believe in God but I don't believe that he has any power to do anything on this earth. If he did, why are there insanely rich people while there are dirt poor people living here? Why do children die of diseases? I guess it is because we are here on our own and on Judgement Day(the end of the earth), God decides who has been good enough to go to heaven and the ones who aren't good enough, they stay on earth and burn with the planet. However, I do believe that on rare occasions, he makes miracles happen. So my point is, I do believe in him I just don't believe he has any control what happens on or to this planet.
  • No, I do not believe in a god. There is no proof, and I think that faith (of the religions sort) is dangerous.
  • God exists in belief only. When we look around us we can see the manifestations of an unknown entity. We do not know what is that, why are we born, why we pass through so many experiences, who is that one in us that experiences and above all "WHO AM I"? For all these unanswered question we put an X factor and call it "God" or some equivalent name.
  • No, I don't believe in god, I also don't believe in UFOs, terrorists coming to attack the US, exporting democracy to countries with oil, Hamas attacking Israel, honest politicians, true Christians or any of those legends popular in American folklore
  • There is no evidence to support the notion of god(s). Therefore any belief in one is purely made up and is no different from believing in anything for which there is no evidence - like the Tooth fairy, Puff the Magic Dragon, Mordor or Klingons. There is almost certainly no god outside of the famously overactive human imagination. +5
  • I believe and even though i havent seen him with the eye i have felt his presence and know he is there .Things have happened that are beyond explanation . so for me i choose to believe =)
  • Yes, I believe that there exists something that humans call God. No, I have no unassailable proof. I also don't expect anyone else to accept my belief. Or even care if they do, frankly. Your question mentions the "big man upstairs." My belief is nothing like that. In fact, if there is indeed a God, I believe that it (yes, IT, not he or she; I don't think that God has a gender despite our penchant for dressing our deities up like ourselves) is not anything like most religions describe. Well, except for that "ineffable" part. ;)
  • the bible for one and even if i didn't have the wise word of God i can feel it in my soul. and i hear him in my heart not through a big booming voice. and anyway, why? is a pretty dumb question. because its ether him or satin no imbetween line. i don't know about you but i don't want eternal death. how could i be blind to the crater of the universe? i could give a flip about science, earth made from an explosion? yeah thats real easy to believe.
  • No i dont:)
  • Yes I do with all my heart and being.
  • Yes I do. I am a science minded monotheist.
  • Yes I do... we are wonderfull beings and we are full of beautiful things ... sadly most of us don't see that. Study Life science and you will see that some force must have created us ... such perfection in the human body... everithing perfectly placed and we have everithing in need to survive. God does indeed exist .For those who look for him he is present and he is your rock , yet for those who deny him he cares and looks out for them in a quiet kind of way. Those who see him and rebel against him are lost and sometimes they don't come back :/ ( for people who have problems with the body God made them with a porpuse and they are beautiful too !)
  • I believe in a Supreme Being(s) .. With so many contridictions of the Bible coming forth, and so many questions raised about religion anymore ... it is just too difficult to know what I actually do believe in sometimes ...
  • Yeah, sure, but my "God" doesn't belong in any specific religious group (Hinduism, Christianity, Judaism, etc.).
  • I believe there is at least 1 higher power. Do i believe in one or multiple gods... Don't know. Was "god" man or woman... don't know. I only believe what i have experiance and what has been proven.
  • Yes, I always have and always will.
  • Yes. Or else what is the point?
  • Which one?
  • No one knows for sure. The existence of God is unprovable.
  • No I do not because I know the divine.
  • Yes, can't not believe.
  • No i don't. Not that i haven't given it a lot of thought or anything, but for me, no there is no god.
  • There is no credible evidence to support a hypothesis of existence of a higher power.According to rules of logic and the scientific method such a positive hypothesis must be discarded. The default value of negative then remains. My "gut instinct" tells me "I don't know and I can't know". +4
  • Not me....
  • I believe in god and love him.
  • Yes, Im a Christian and believe in God. +4
