usually most places will charge somewhere around 100 bucks an hour (give or take depending on the place). i got about a 7inch diameter circle on my chest that was a pretty tough intricate design with lots of circles(3 people said they wouldn't do it before i found one that would) and it took 2 and a half hours. so put your estimate relative to that! just look for places online.

I think both places sound really cool. Think about negative space stars. The artist can show you what that is. They do cost, generally, between $100-$150/hr. When picking an artist research research research. If you see someone with a tattoo similar to the one want ask where he/she had it done. Look into many artists, ask to see their portfolio. Remember that you get what you pay for, an apprentice may be good but you won't know that. If you find an artist with a waiting list changes are he/she will be very good. Good luck!
