Depression, or extreme apathy (if that counts) it's fine at the time... but it's very very destructive in my opinion.

Helplessness. If you are in a bad position and can figure something out, then you can envision hope and success. But if, either because your brain chemistry is stuck in despair mode, or because you actually ARE IN a no-win situation, you can't even conceive of light at the end of the tunnel...that is the worst.

Jealousy because it's worthless. The jealous person doesn't improve himself or herself by being jealous.

Panic; as it can turn a potentially harmless situation into a true catastrophe.

Grief.... I don't know why Charlie Brown always said "Good Grief"... that is the biggest oxymoron. I know this is true because when Jesus found out his friend Lazarus had died.. even Jesus wept.

Numbness in other words the inability to feel any emotion positive or negative. Trust me been there done that.

Coming to terms with having had a time in your life where you had to totally shut down all emotion and run on pure gut instinct. Living on sheer and utter adrenaline and instinct. Doing things that you would never want your best enemy to do. And then later in life you have to accept it and re-learn to function in society. Retraining yourself to be human and have emotions again.

Loneliness...combined with the fear of being lonely! its so scary and unbelievably sad when you realize that your ultimately lonely no matter how many people surround you! :-(

I was going to say that the feel of losing a loved one was the worse but then Faulkner's quote came to mind. He said "If I have to chose between grief and nothing I would chose grief." It means you had alot to treasure so nothing would be the worst.
