What's your book shopping process? What do you do when you are about to buy a book?

For me, going to the bookstore is because of one of 2 reasons 1- I'm bored 2- I've heard about a book. Before going to the bookstore, I must log-in amazon.com to see new and bestsellers books. Then make a list of the books I'm interested in, and go for book hunting.

I like old books. I love to go to used book stores but can't find any anymore. If there is a specific book I want, I'll go to Amazon and/or Ebay.

I browse. If I am buying a rare or older book, I examine every page, the binding, etc., and will usually not buy on the first look.

First I go to where some of my favorite authors are and see if anything new is out or an old one I haven't read yet. If not I'll check out the 'just released" , read the book jacket and decide. I could spend hours in a book store. That is the only place I like to browse.

Carry book to counter, remove money from wallet, pay, leave.
