I would post pics, but my system isn't complete until the end of the month when I get my new TV. Right now I have an RCA 1000watt 5.1 surround system, soon to have 42 or 46 Phillips LCD TV, Sony DVD/VCR, Sony PS2, Sony PS3, Xbox, my PC will be connected to it via DVI as well and is currently connected to the surround on Digital Optical. Once I get the TV I will be replacing the RCA system with an Onkyo 6.1 A/V Receiver and Cerwyn Vega Speakers

I have a 60 inch Philips rear projection TV, 650w Pioneer A/V receiver (5.1) with a 100w, 10 inch JBL sub. I have never considered it a waste of money. I can never get enough of watching Stevie Ray play live when I am seeing his hands the size of dinner plates.

We have a small home theater set up in our basement. I don't know anything about the specs, but here is a pic. We mainly watch movies here, and we have a Vizio plasma in the bedroom that I watch TV on more often.
