I'm sure they did.
-
Yes I would imagine so but not as bad as it can be today they did not eat the rich food and fats that we have.
-
I don't see any difference. I can't support it with facts but I'm pretty sure they got acne too.
-
Most likely. But I think they had bigger problems to worry about, like starvation, serfdom, and dying of the Black Plague. Acne must have seemed like a joke compared to the skin problems the Plague caused.
-
Yes. I've read of it in historical fiction books, and though they were 'fiction', many details of everyday life, such as skin care, in those books, were not. They even had ointments and potions like we do today that promised to banish the stuff.
-
yes, but it was just "Ye Old Acne" not near as bad as "the most horrible thing ever" as my son points out daily

What a smart, funny question! Every time I watch the History Channel, I find myself wondering the same thing. The Rennesance, who had the zits? At the signing of the Declaration of Independence, who mailed it in because their face was broken out? Acne is no joke, it really hurts, and this can't be a new problem.
