  • I like carrots and turnips better raw. :)
  • Not for me. I love all vegetables, cooked or raw. I often soften them in boiling water briefly, when my gums are sore.
  • I like mine cooked. I can't stand raw veggies (except of course the ones that go in salad). My kids, on the other hand prefer their veggies raw, so when I make dinner, I keep theirs raw!
  • Gotta love them raw potatoes. Usually, if the option is there -- which potato obviously isn't one -- then Eddie Murphy isn't the only one who likes to have it Raw.
  • Will NOT eat cooked carrots - I like Broccli and Cauliflower raw better too
  • I can go with cooked or raw for any vegetable except carrots. I never could eat cooked carrots.
  • Carrots, peppers, and beans I prefer raw. Onions, peas, and corn I prefer cooked. Potatoes I like either way, but raw makes the roof of my mouth itch.
  • There are some I like raw and some cooked. Some I eat mainly one way as they aren't as nutritious the other way. Some are mildly toxic when eating raw. I just love veggies, so why block myself from eating them one way.
  • Yes I think it does. My mum used to cook the arse out of veg until they were soggy...bleeuuuch!!. I hated veg. Then I had some brocolli...only slightly steamed so it was still crunchy...now i love crunchy lightly steamed veg. However there's still no way you'd get a brussel sprout passed these lips
  • You can totally destroy any vegetable by overcooking it, just as you can take the best steak, chicken or seafood and ruin it by overcooking. If you steam veggies just till they are barely cooked, still crunchy and retain their color, you're in for a great taste treat. The steam water should be kept and frozen for use later in soups..there is food value in that water and you don't want to dump it! :)
  • I like most vegatable both ways. I mean potatoes have to be cooked, and lettuce needs to be raw, but aside from that it is a mood thing.
  • Yes. I much prefer raw spinach, carrots and celery to cooked, but cooked broccoli and green beans over raw. Some vegetables, like bean sprouts and water chesnuts, are good either way, while other vegetables, such as corn, peas, cabbage and aubergines, turn my stomach regardless of how they're served.
  • Spinach. I cannot stand any cooked spinach I have ever had. But I love raw spinach leafs more than any other green
  • The only veggies I don't like better raw are potatoes, broccoli, and eggplant. I especially hate mushy (overcooked) corn on the cob.
  • The only form of green bean that I cannot stand is frozen... and yes, they're cooked of course.
  • Raw food is good for you sometimes other times you need to extract vital nutrients with acid (lemon) or oil. Such is the case with lycopene in tomatoes.
