  • Only now. It sounds Japanese to me, but I'm surprised to find out that it's actually some kind of a religion in Europe.
  • I think you mean Kama Sutra, and yes I have...
  • Yes, as it is the path I follow. I don't believe it's the only path, but I feel it is a good one. One that I can follow with a clear conscience, as opposed to any of the desert faiths.
  • No, I had not heard of it before. I found this information: "Ásatrú (Icelandic for "Æsir faith", pronounced [auːsatruː], in Old Norse [aːsatruː]; Norwegian Åsatru, Swedish Asatro, Danish Asetro) is a Neopagan movement inspired by Germanic polytheism, in particular the Norse paganism as described in the Eddas and as practiced prior to the Christianization of Scandinavia. There are two main strains of Ásatrú, originating near-simultaneously in Iceland (Íslenska Ásatrúarfélagið, 1972) and the USA (Asatru Free Assembly, 1974). While the Scandinavian branch emphasizes pantheist spirituality rooted in medieval and contemporary Scandinavian folklore, the American branch postulates a "native religion of the peoples of Northern Europe" reaching back into the paleolithic. In Germany, the term Asatru is used in the wider sense of Germanic neopaganism." Source and further information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asatru
  • Yes, I have heard of it ... my ancestors are Viking.
  • hail! why yes, i have ;) my grandfather was from denmark and my youngest brother is taking college courses now to get his degree in archeology specializing in norse and viking mythology. i have always been fascinated by all the old tales but only heard of asatru a couple years ago. i was thinking of joining an asatru group, but i've since changed my mind. i feel the old ways are ingrained enough in me without having to join a group. but who knows, i may feel differently later ;)
