I like what I saw in Cambodia when I was there last year. Contrary to previous negative perceptions about the country, Cambodia is rich in cultural heritage and a very good and safe place to go for a holiday for a few days. Cambodia's greatest assets are its people. Their smiles captivated me and they made me felt so welcome.

It's a great country and I had the pleasure of working with a 20 year old lad from there about 6 years ago. I love the people and think they are the best. Of course I would have been killed under the Pol Pot regime which is one of the greatest tragedies of the 20th century. I was really saddened by The Killing Fields when I watched it.

Cambodia is connected with Hindu-India since long, it is known as "Kambhojam" in Sanskrit. Agama Vedic Hinduism was once the religion of Cambodians. The Temple for Lord Vishnu built by Hindu King Suryavarman II in 12th century is still considered the largest Religious Structure in the world. I feel proud of the cultural synthesis of Khemer Hindu heritage of this great Country.

The Cambodian government is full of corruption. The Cambodian guys do nothing then do nothing around day gambling, drinking and watching cock-fighting. The Cambodian ladies do nothing but gossip and talk about stuff all day. The teens in Phnom Penh are spoilt and are rude. The countryside has landmines, which would take another century to fully remove. The country is poor, while Mr. Hun Sen is enjoying wealthy life. Peados go to Phnom Penh for sex with Children Men go to Brothels in Cambodia for sex for $3USD. If you own a business, watch out, you better pay protection money or else... If you a tourist, watch out you might get mugged or even worse... The country just stinks with prahok and has a long way to go.

I thought the people were really friendly and warm. I really enjoyed seeing the temples in Siem Reap, especially the one that has trees growing out of it. So interesting! A very relaxing holiday.
