  • I don't know... Personally, this is one instance in which I don't UNDERSTAND the so-called "PC" term. Most "African-Americans" I've met have never SEEN Africa, much less hail from there. My family's from Ireland... but I'm not called Irish-American... I'm just white.
  • I've heard the term "Afro-European" the other doesn't sound very melodious. Your choice, I guess.
  • Supposing that a citizen is born in a European country and that they originally came from Africa, then this would be proper.
  • I don't get this. All of my black friends want to be called black because they don't call me Polish-American, they call me white...so why should we call them African American? And I agree with them.
  • I came to this country, from Germany, when I was two years old. I love this country and would fight and die for her if called upon. I am not a “German American” but an America, that just happens to be from Germany. Don’t get me wrong, I am proud of my heritage but lets get the order right folks. I would no more want to be called a German American than I would fly the German flag over the American flag in my front yard.
