  • Well if you jump around in the hey...I bet you find the needle lol OWCH!
  • Big magnet?
  • I agree with Darryl. I'd suggest using some strong magnets as pictured below. Available for only 8 dollars here: http://www.physlink.com/estore/cart/WorldsStrongestNeodymiumMagnets.cfm Try putting one Neo on the inside of your hand and one outside - you won't believe the power! Includes six (6) 1/2" round plastic-encased Neodymium magnets. 2500 Gauss each.
  • Run the hay through a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)scanner. This is still just another version of using a big magnet, but the MRI's magnet is strong enough to pull the needle out of the hay stack. (Patients with metal implants are not allowed near MRI's because of the danger of having their implants pulled from their bodies.)
  • Get a new friggin needle!
  • Right, get a team of rabbits, and let them at they hay. Eventually they will eat the hay and probably the needle, and you simply have to trifle through the 'end product' as it were. Maybe not too practical, but it involves bunnies, so it HAS to be good
  • Throw the haystack in water and the needle should be at the bottom, if it's metal... (I saw this on Mythbusters, yes...) lol
  • I dowse the hay in gasoline, light it up and wait for it to burn to the ground, at wich point the needle will have survived the flames, so you can just sift through the ashes for the needle.
  • Get a new metal detector! DUH!
  • Read the manual the detector never fails its the human using it.
  • Go get the Rainman..........oh sh't, he was only good at counting stuff..........and just toothpicks too. I'm such an idiot!
  • get the 400 square yards magnet out of the hanger.
