Are you sure? That is below average I find it difficult to believe he got through College with those scores . He must be a great poler player if he has bluffed the nation that well.
-
I've heard that before and wondered that myself...I've taken one of those online tests before and got around 122 or so.

DBD....come on.....you KNOW that is just an absurd urban legend. http://www.csbsju.edu/USPP/Bush/Bush-IQ-Myth.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Presidents_IQ_hoax http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/hoaxes/presiq.asp http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/bliq-bush.htm http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article634182.ece

I recently scored 130, it was late at night, I was tired and had some wine before taking the test -- You are correct, the current president of the United States scored 91, and his father 98. --- 147 Franklin D. Roosevelt 132 Harry Truman 122 Dwight D. Eisenhower 174 John F. Kennedy 126 Lyndon B. Johnson 155 Richard M. Nixon 121 Gerald R. Ford 176 James E. Carter 105 Ronald W. Reagan 98 George H. W. Bush 182 William J. Clinton 91 George W. Bush

He is in the whitehouse because he's the kinda guy people want to drink beer with! Yep...he is also stubborn, determined, recalcitrant, decisive and egotistical..some people want their "daddy" to be decisive, stand his ground, not budge, stay the course! We did it to ourselves (well, not us per se)..we got what we voted for..some of us are still happy with that result! :(

All George bush does at the white housh is smoke pot and bangs mrs bush and plays alot of online war games on his computer

One fine day the Chimp Executive will leave office. Even if McCain gets elected, we will finally have someone with a shred of intelligence. This is how I can make light of the poor selection of candidates this year. Good question DBD. I bet you 1000 kaputnicks that I will get republitrolled. They're just haters anyway.

All I can say is 20 January 2009 is going to be a great day.

DBD, the whole Bush IQ below 100/90/? thing is not real (I can't beleive I'm standing up for Bush, but I hate disinformation from any side). That was an urban legend made up years ago.
-
The IQ test means nothing, it's just a sociological method of keeping the little guy down. That being said, yes, GWB is an idiot, but I couldn't name an American president that has ever cared about people. Like Chomsky said, if the Nuremberg Rulings were applied to each post-war American president, they'd all be hanged. GWB is there because of business interests, end of story.

IQ tests mean nothing in real life. I know people who can pass an IQ test with high scores but they are dumber then a fence post when they have to try to put their knowledge to the test in day to day life. They have no common sense. People like this have been some of the worst, dumbest employees I've ever had to work with. On the other hand, I know people who couldn't get a high score if they were paid too, yet they are some of the smartest workers I've had the pleasure of working with. So I will say again, IQ tests mean nothing if you can't put your knowledge to good use. All it means is that you are good at taking a test. There are tons of people who are very brilliant but are bad at taking tests.

To be fair Being a leader of a state isn't about your intelligence - intelligence doesn't really come into it. It's about having the best advisors. Do you really expect the President to make all his decisions standalone? No, because for him to do so, would pre-requisite him having all the knowledge of a specific situation - and I don't imagine any president in the history of the US has been up to scratch on his knowledge of, say, China relations, Taiwan relations, Economics, Law, etc. It's about surrounding yourself with the best advisors. Being President, really, is about having the most intelligent advisors.

That scares me, having like a man like that in charge of our nation. My IQ is 95, and I have a freakin' developmental disorder!
-
Sigh. Do you do business with Nigerian bankers?
-
... hard to believe that his dad was/is known as the education president ... at the rate W. is going, he might become known as the special education president ...
-
not trying to defend the scumbag because he doesn't deserve it, but i've heard that the email forward that lists the presidential i.q.s is a hoax. even if he cheated his way through college he still would need an above average intelligence quotient to graduate from an ivy league school. http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/hoaxes/presiq.asp now, i know there are those that think snopes is full of stool, but it seems very well researched every time i've looked into it with links to all their research. so, decide for yourselves ;) bush is still an idiot! ;)
-
If George Bush is so stupid, why does he keep getting his way? Doesn't say much for your IQ does it?
-
I'm not really confident that someone could get a 140 on an IQ test and yet fall for the insane internet stories regarding the president's IQ tests without checking Snopes. Additional investigation revealed that the presidential IQ report ("Report: President Bush has lowest IQ of all presidents of past 50 years") attributed to the (fictitious) Lovenstein Institute is a hoax, debunked July 18, 2001 by snopes.com, an urban legends website (click here to read the http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/hoaxes/presiq.asp; click here to read the original report, published in the fictitious "Pennsylvania Court Observer." In a Lexis-Nexis search, I found the hoax reported as factual information in at least four foreign newspapers: Guardian ("Diary" by Matthew Norman, July 19, 2001), The Express ("By George he's the dimmest," July 20, 2001, p. 8, no byline), the Scottish Daily Record ("Dumbya's dumb day" by Alexandra Williams, July 20, 2001, p. 2), and Bilt Zeitung ("Bush dümmster Präsident seit 1945 -- IQ nur 91," Aug. 1, 2001, no byline). Aside from the factual errors noted in snopes.com's debunking, the story is transparently bogus, given that JFK (IQ reportedly 174) actually tested at 119 (though admittedly on the relatively crude Otis test) and Nixon (IQ reportedly 155), actually tested nearly a full standard deviation lower, at 143, according to the historical record. Given his academic record, Bill Clinton (IQ reportedly 182) probably has an IQ quite similar to that of Al Gore (who tested at 134, according to the public record). In short, our presidents aren't nearly as smart as the bogus Lovenstein report would have us believe. [Intellectuals tend to be mediocre politicians who have great difficulty faking connectedness voters.] Given that intelligence tests are standardized with a mean of 100 and a standard deviation of 15, the average Democratic president, with a "Lovenstein IQ" of 156 (i.e., +3.7 SD) would be in the top one-hundredth of one percent under the bell curve -- that is, the top 10,000th relative to the general population in intellectual ability). Moreover, it is unlikely that there would be a gap of nearly three standard deviations between the IQs of Democratic ("Lovenstein IQ" = 156) and Republican ("Lovenstein IQ" = 115.5) presidents.

Bush is clearly not brilliant. Even worse, he seems to lack intellectual curiosity, and he is often embarrassingly inarticulate. But, surely, this level of IQ is simply not possible. His "one of the people" posture combined with accusing people in the opposition of being part of an "intellectual elite" is very, very destructive. It suggests that you can make good decisions without grappling with very tough issues, and good decisions can be made by just applying the common sense of the person in the street. Having said that, I think that dismissing him as stupid is dangerous, and it underestimates the resources we need to apply to combat a very dangerous opponent.
-
He's the perfect Leader for dumbing down the population, which is their goal. Otherwise they wouldn't be able to get away with what they're getting away with.
-
intellegence can be measured many different ways, you may be book smart but have no idea how to change a tire, etc. some smart people have little or no common sense.

GEORGE BUSH HAD HELP FROM HIS DAD THE FIRST TIME AND THE 2ND. TIME HIS POWER BLOCKED OUT HIS OPPONENT. WHEN YOU HAVE MONEY AND POWER YOU CAN DO ANYTHING INCLUDING LIE TO EVERYONE, LIKE HE DID FOR THE CAUSE OF GLOBAL WARMING AGAINST THE ADVICE OF THE 31,000 SCIENTISTS THAT TOLD HIM MAN IS'NT RESPONSIBLE. WHAT GETS ME IS WHY EVERYONE WOULD BELIEVE A HABITUAL LYER LIKE BUSH.
