My 1997 ford explorer will turn over but will not crank, not firing, plugs are fine, coil pack is fine, fuel filter, fuel pump. has been doing this for a few months, always before, while working on it, it would suddenly crank up, this time it will not.

First check the micro gm style fuse (10 amp)under the hood four the ignition , second check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail. If these are not the problem , then it probably the cam or crank sensor ! -
