I'm thinking about buying a new stereo for my car, which brand do you suggest: Sony, Pioneer, Pioneer Premier, Kenwood, Blaupunkt or Panasonic?

if your just looking for a HU[head unit]pioneer is the best out of the ones you've provided.don't expect alot out of a simple HU up-grade,you may want to keep what you have a consider a amp instead.i would need more info of what you're looking for to provide a better and more detailed answer.

I'm a Sony man myself and recomend a lot of their products, but if you're installing subs, might I recommend these: http://www.tymphany.com/products_Tymphany_LAT.html they sound great, and save a ton of space, though they're not the cheapest things around.

IMO, the best stereos out of those choices are these. Well, these are what I prefer. Pioneer or Kenwood for the radio, simply because they're cheap and most model of kenwood stereos are amazing quality for the price. I bought an eclipse and disliked it, bought a clarion, disliked. Never tried Pioneer Premier, never tried a Panasonic, but the Sony's as crappy as you'd think they would be are actually okay for their price. I bought a kenwood for my cousin's car and loved it, the treble was quite amazing for 100$, as was the bass. The funny thing is he didn't have custom speakers in the doors. Everything was stock. I'd try Kenwood or Pioneer.
