Some rabbits like mine pull their fur just before they give birth. I watched my rabbit go through all the motions, she started pulling fur and after gathering bits of hay and straw to make a nest with along with her fur, she did this for a few hours. Then she went inside the hutch, gave birth - i saw her eating the afterbirth, then she went back outside and sat grooming herself acting as if nothing happened! Then some rabbits pull their fur a few days before hand, it depends on the rabbit. Im sure she will be fine, leave mum to do her job.... as they say mum knows best!

The nestbox usually is placed in the cage on the 28th day so it doesn't get too dirty from her pooping in it or eating all the hay in it. And that is usually when does pull their fur but some wait until right before they give birth. If she doesn't pull out fur, just keep checking to make sure that they are warm enough in there with plenty of hay or straw.

your rabbits should probably be OK but if they are in a nest-box but then if they are in justa nest it might be worth putting extra bedding in the nest such as ripped-up newspaper or hay, sawdust and things like that. i hope this helped some people. mollymoo
