  • I had lost 100 lbs at one time... going from 330-230... unfortunately I gained about half of that back(over five years)... I need to get more exercise...
  • I tried a lot of diets over the years...I yo-yoed up and down a lot. But, I finally tried Weight Watchers and that really worked for me. I have lost 82 lbs now, and have kept it off.
  • As a matter of fact; I do. At the mere age of about 11, almost 12 I was pushing 200. At a whopping 190 lbs, I absolutley despised myself. My mother, a rather big boned woman herself, found this a tad alarming and began looking at possible thyroid issues. After we got some blood work done, they looked a TINY bit raised but nothing really significant. I just had a slow metabolism, ate alot, and didn't to much activity. The endocrenologist informed me of this, and asked "Why are you really here?" I was confused. "Because I think there might be something wrong with my thyroid...?" I asked. My mother confirmed this. The doctor- a horrible german woman by the name of Dr. Rotenstein- shook her head and pursed her lips. "No. you're here because you're fat. and you could ultimately end up with diabetes, and possibly a thyroid condition if you don't change it. You're eating all of the wrong foods. Your body doesn't convert carbs in to energy, it converts it in to sugar. you need more protien, and smaller portion sizes, and activity on a daily basis" I have to admit. Pardon the french, but it fucked me up really bad. I felt horrible. Even more digusting. Even more obese. And even more down. She put me on synthroid and cytomel thyroid medication, and sent me home. That's when my mother and I began to change my diet. I was compeltley motivated. And for whatever reason, it was completley easy. It was like I cut my mind off of cravings completley, and had only what I needed. Every day, I walked, or ran, and I joined the cross country team at school. A year later, i'd dropped 50 pounds. However that's when things started to take a turn for the worse. Memories of being overweight, and realizing that it was something I could actually control(after MANY horrifying random events including the shooting of my eldest brother), I began to wonder why I looked no different. I'd lost 50 pounds after all; I should be seeing some improvement right? I should probably eat less. Yes. I think it's clear where this leads. eat less and less and less now only 500 calories a day now only 300 wait why eat anything? I starved myself for weeks straight before bingeing, only to starve myself again. I lost 30 pounds. But then the was losing strenght my body was depleated I couldn't hold myself any longer. Which ultimately lead to the Bulimia which I am now struggling with. Sorry not the fairy tail ending i wish i could give you. but its what I got. All i can say is it CAN be done healthily. Just don't let it spin out of control.
  • I actually am doing the Hcg diet and lipotropic for weight loss. I have lost 35 lbs in one month.
  • I was so depressed a few months ago over how much I had gained. I spent a year in the gym and on Adkins trying to loose only to gain or maintain. I was burning up to 1000+ cal. 3 to 4 times a week in 2.5 hr workouts, drinking water till I was floating and eating the most boring diet known to man. I tipped the scale at 159 lbs. in that year being at 135 lbs. In January 2008 as I was leaving for work I happened to catch a glimpse of a commercial for Serotonin Plus, a medically supervised diet plan that would fit any budget and had a 99% success rate. Skeptical but desperate I looked it up from work and read the articles and then called the Doctor. I set up a free consultation and began the diet in March. 15 weeks later I'm back down to 135. All I needed was a metabolism jump-start. I'm loosing weight still every week, was the best thing in my life. After age 30, weight is hard to loose and when you are 42, super stressed, over worked, fed up, depressed, and just have kick the smoking habit for good? There seems to be no end to self-distruction. I have also been doing the lipo-B injections one time a week. It has helped me go from a size 9/10 to a 7/8 in about 6 weeks. They are just too important in inexpensive to not continue. Good luck on finding what works best for you. Your health and well being is all you really have so take care of it and enjoy your life one day at a time.
  • ...I had just posted all of this, and it was deleted... I have now lost about 110 lbs total over the past few years, and am more successful now than when I started. No sadness here, only success...Please contact me with questions if you'd like. I still eat all of my guilty pleasures because I decided that it was not a diet, but a 'lifestyle change' that would keep me focused. Best of luck!! -Chris
