When my laptop is connected to my flat screen the image is blurred/fuzzy. When my desktop is connected to same flat screen the image is virtually the same between monitor and flat screen -- WHY? I'm using S Video for laptop and VGA for desktop.

NEVER use an S video cable if you want a good picture. Use the VGA for the laptop.

Thanks for that -- I always thought S Video was better than VGA. What is next best option if my laptop does not have VGA connection? It's a HP Pavillion dv9715, if that helps...
