  • I'm in the same boat... I hate getting up at noon and going to bed at 5...
  • im in the same boat you are. but i want to know why you feel guilty? im sure you are contributing to socieity and you work till the early moring hours. You don't sleep half the day away, you work hard and just have different times. i would say get some sleep unless you have an easy day and night coming up
  • Wow, someone who is just like me! I have had to "re-do" my sleeping schedule like this many many times.(I should probably think about doing it again right now) You know how a lack of sleep affects you better than anyone, but I would suggest getting a few hours of sleep (no less than 5 or 6) and then going to bed at a normal time tommorow night. I have stayed up for that extra day many times and it usually ends up hurting more than helping my sleeping. When you do that you actually extend the length of your day and it makes it easier to slip back into a night owl sleep schedule. If you get the few hours of sleep you will still be tired enough to go to bed at the right time, but not so tired that you may begin to have short term health issues (delirium for an example of what I have experienced lol)
  • I know that if you stay up til tomorrow night, then you should go to bed at about 8 to catch up on some rest. I have done the same thing recently and I went to bed at about 11 and my sleep schedule was still off. For me, that is the easiest way to get back on my sleep schedule (I've had to do this several times especially since i have been on AB. I think that I am officially addicted).
  • I worked a graveyard shift for several months, my advice on shifting back to normal? It could take up to a couple of weeks. Set you're alarm to wake you when you need to be awake, and avoid staying out late. You'll find this part easier than you might think.
  • It depends on when you have to make the change. I usually suggest that a change be made over several days, a few hours at a time.
