My Goddaughter has recently started wetting the bed, but its only when she is at home, when she stays with me there is no problem, could it be the things that happened at her home scare her into doing it and she feels safer everywhere else?

I believe I would find out if there is anything going on in the home. Have there been any big changes like a move or a new baby? Is there fighting in the house? Most of the time it is something along those lines.

If you know that certain things have happened in her home and you know what those things are, then yes your granddaughter is wetting her bed because she is afraid or nervous about something. It is better for you to know what it is that bothers her, try to talk to her and if possible take her to a children analyst, they have games by which they can find out what exactly is troubling her. It is not convenient to leave such matters unattended as when they begin to grow up they may have emotional or conduct disorders. Regards and good luck.

Stress at home can cause bedwetting. You clearly take your responsibility for your goddaughter seriously, so it is time to find out if there is anything that is worrying the child.

i will try not to be an alarmist, but i think a regression to something more juvenile like bed wetting is generally considered a cry for help. please, investigate, question, eaves drop, spy, or report if you must for her sake.
