For those of you like me, that don't have English as your first language, do you speak in your native tongue on a regular basis still? Have you moved somewhere, like I have, and now speak English more than your own language?

Ive started learning English 3 years ago, and Im participating in a student exchange program, so I get to spend one year in Texas. My English got much better, and Ive even started thinking in English, altough I still talk "Swiss-German" to my friends from Switzerland. Its funny how i sometimes mess up the word order in German, so it would sound like English lol. Its hard to switch between languages too often.

I learned English, Chinese and a bit of Japanese all at the same time as a very young child, and I spoke all three at home. But now, all grown up and a "3rd generation well-assimilated Canadian", I speak only English now. I still know a little Chinese and Japanese (those two together are my ethnic heritage) but I don't use them regularly. I'm much more proficient in English. The same with my American cousins in California. They are well-assimilated too. Interesting question Someguy! :)
