  • my virginity when i was 16... :)
  • I had this awesome pair of jeans, they had a rainbow made of metallic thread on the back pockets. I LOVED those jeans, they have been missing for over 25 years and I'm not kidding- I was just thinking about them less than 2 weeks ago. I am a bit strange.
  • I lost a whole album full of my dog's puppy pictures. I think I lost it at work in 2002 and I do think about it a lot because it has sentimental value to me.
  • I lost a sweatshirt about two years ago that my friends and I had made for beer drinking. Stupid, I know. Anywhoo, we've all gone our seperate ways since then and it's so sentimental to me all the fun times we had wearing our sweatshirts. No idea what happened to it.
  • I had a small garden wedding, just me, my spouse, and another couple (it was a double wedding), and we took photos. I got the photos back from developing a week later and after glancing quickly through them, laid them on a table next to an overstuffed chair in the living room. When I went back to get them for a better look, I could find them nowhere. My parents, my groom, and my neighbor had been there after I'd laid them down, but they all said they hadn't seen them or taken them. I never did find them and they were the only ones I had, so I do wonder what happened to them every now and then.
  • A gold chain I had when I was about 8...It was a very precious gift and a classmate of mine stole it off me when I was sleeping...I actually knew who it was back then but I didn't have solid proof so I couldn't say anything.
  • I had some mattress stamps. Yes, you read it right. On the tag that always has 'do not remove under penalty of law' were two stamps. I had taken it off a very old mattress. I even photocopied it. Then it disappeared. To this day I have not found it, and it annoys me to no end, as I am certain they would have been sellable to a collector.
  • Yes, Back in 1969 my later-to-be-husband came back from a trip to Europe and gave me a gorgeous bracelet all enamel and wire work and stones, just beautiful! I loved it. Well, I was in high school and he wasn't anymore but would sometimes pick me up from school and take me home. So I thought it would be great to meet him wearing it. SO I wore it to school:-( At some time of the day between classes, the clasp broke and I dropped it somewhere. I searched for days! I didn't have the heart to tell him. I didn't tell him for years. I finally did and he was so happy! Why? Because he had been thinking that I just hated it and that is why he never saw me wearing it. He was such a sweetheart about it. Now, many years later we still talk about one day going to Switzerland and finding a piece to replace it, not exact, just something to fill that hole.
  • yes. and i am still beside myself and just tonight tore apart my house looking for it. my dad was on his deathbed the week i had my daughter, but he had had the energy to write a letter to her about where her name came from (she is named after his mother). the letter was so sweet and so meaningful and i cannot find it. this was 14 years ago! why i didn't copy it or frame it or something right away i don't know -- i guess i was too busy mourning him, and nursing my baby -- but i would give almost anything to touch and see that letter again.
