  • If they had switched brains, then yes, they would possess those characteristics and speak/ bark like the opposite.
  • no, they would both be dead.
  • Assuming such an operation were possible to perform in such a way as to allow both patients to survive, there would be a problem regardijg the differing structures of the vocal apparatus between the two species. The human-brained dog would likely UNDERSTAND English quite well, but the dog-brained human would go nuts with the lesser sense of smell.
  • 1) What about an amoeba switching brains with a human? I am curious what kind of questions they would ask on AB! 2) no way you are getting me switching brains! Even with you! 3) more serious: suppose all the interface problem could be solved (in maybe 1,000 years) and they were not dead or crazy, I think: - the human would have to learn to use the dog vocal system to communicate and maybe could after some time pronounce words with a big handicap. - the dog would adapt to his new vocal system but will not do much more with it as what he did before So I think it would be just the opposite of what you suggest. But having a so big part of the other's body will certainly have a big influence on their future development.
