YES IT IS!!!!!!!!!!
-
That kind of depends on what really made them retreat..were you holding a gun?
-
No, but it is safe to assume that they cannot defend their position. Either that or they decided it was futile to argue. Considering you aren't annoying, I imagine it would be the former and not the latter.
-
Not necessarily. Other options include an unwillingness to continue an argument if they have decided you don't or refuse to understand their position. Or, they might feel your position has been presented with an unreasonable attitude. Or, they might feel your arguments require further research and they really have to "think about it". Or, they may feel you arguments are valid. As a general rule, making assumptions isn't helpful. Ask the other party if they have further arguments. Ask if hey feel your arguments have any merit. Ask if they feel the new position they're taking (i.e., withdrawing) should suggest to you they have abandoned their position in the face of your overwhelming logic---a question which directly focuses on what you're thinking about hin this quesiton. But ask the other party, don't make assumptions.
-
Well, I don't see why it would be safe to assume that his/her claim is valid, so yes.
-
Do you assume that GOD is invalid? Do you have any faith what so ever? Do you believe in anything that has no evidence supporting the claim?
-
No. It would be safer to say they are unable to adequately substantiate their claim. The odds may be in favor of their claim being invalid, but to refute it solely on the basis of their inability to support it might also prove shortsighted.
