I have mine in the ground and they do get tall sometimes as much as 3feet+ so use them at the back of a garden arrangement and support them with stakes :o)

you could plant them in a deep container, they would probably still need a stake, they are such a lovely flower when they come out, but only one flower per plant, they are just gorgeous !!! :)

they trive in either ground or pot and yes some can get quite tall and wind will knock them around a little ...but they are a beautiful flower

Hi, m'dear! We have one in the ground in front of our house that is in full bloom. I am 5' 6" and it is at my shoulder height right now..perhaps it will grow as tall as I am. I'd say put it in the ground..it is awesomely beautiful! Happy Sunday! :)

I would suggest the ground. They are great for attracting hummingbirds and other wonderful creatures. I out a few in a container once, because it is so windy where I live, but none of the birds came near them. So back in the ground they went!
