Help answer this question below.

Does Billy Mays get on your nerves? He's the guy who did the Oxy-Clean commercials and now he's doing one for some kind of Epoxy with which you can glue chains together. This guy is INTENSE, and his voice is whiny and drives me up the wall.

    You have to admit, though... the stuff he sells really DOES work!

    Except that new Orange Glo hardwood floor oil. For the love of GOD, DON'T PUT OIL ON YOUR FLOORS! It's not safe, for one, and for two, it makes it nearly IMPOSSIBLE for the refinishers to do their job well. (Hubby does hardwood floors for a living)

    I have been bit*hin' about that guy since the first day I saw/heard him screaming at me to buy the damn Oxy-Clean. And those constant hand movements like he's trying to GIVE you something are almost as bad.

    He was a pitchman... Best in the business, and a star in the business. There's no one else like him, though Vince (the ShamWow guy) tried. Vince just came off as "pushy".

    BTW: In case you didn't hear, his new pitch is at the Pearly Gates: "Billy Mays here..." St Peter: Yes, We know. Now SHADDAP!" He died Sunday of probable heart disease.

    I'm surprised no one has mentioned this point:
    TV/Radio advertisers know that while Mays turns off a certain number of us (me included, folks) he cuts through the clutter and captures the attention of far more viewers.
    Believe you me, if he wasn't successful in boosting product sales, he wouldn't still be so ubiquitous.

    Has anyone ever heard him talk in a ''normal'' voice? I as a consumer would be more interested in the products if he would not yell. His voice is so anoying that I too mute the TV. Has he ever read these reviews? MAYBE HE SHOULD!!!!!
