  • Under forty in not hard, It is not what you spent it is the thought that goes into it. My daughter is 15, and she spent a lot of time listening to what her father and I talk about. We live in New Jersey but just across the river in Pennsylvania, a little town called New hope. My husband and I both love it and it is neat just to walk around and go in and out of all the little shop. She, because she can not drive conned one of our friends into conning us into a ride to help them pick something up in Pennsylvania as we crossed over the bridge my husband and I said man we should go to New hope they all started laughing and said Happy Anniversary. We had not been there in about 15 years. . I cried for about 20 minutes.
  • 20th anniversary is china or platinum, but that could be pricey! You don't have to stick to traditional presents though. If they have an old movie of their wedding, you could get it put on DVD for them. You could also make up a few albums of their wedding photos, that will cost next to nothing! Or get a large print of their wedding pic done up and put it in a nice frame. I think something that reminds them of the wedding day would be well received, 20 years is a pretty big milestone!
  • Well, I'm assuming that they live in a house not an apartment - how about a nice flowering shrub/small tree? Every time it blooms in the spring, or even every time they come home or sit in the yard , they'll see it and remember both you and their anniversary. Do you know any flowering tree that they like?
  • I gave my parents for their 50th anniversery a Thank You card,, for staying married and being such wonderful parents.,, They both cried when they read it and it still hangs on their wall in the den and it is over 65 years for them now.
