I think it's polite to respond to people who answer your question, either by way of a comment or points - preferably both.

I enjoy commenting on the answers. I enjoy receiving them, too. I, however, would rather not get an answer than to just get a generic 'thanks'. I get that a lot, and it makes me feel like either my answer wasn't good enough or that the asker is only asking so they can get points.

Yes. I try to always say thank you, and usually try to comment more, if I can.
