I suppose that would be days where it seems like life has conspired to ensure that all my plans will go awry: the kitchen drain leaks, I call the plumber, the plumber shows up and doesn't have the right wrench. Meanwhile I've decided to work from home to wait for the plumber, but the Internet is down. I call in to work to tell the boss, but the line is busy, because he's calling me to tell me there's an emergency meeting: I made a mistake that has cost the company $500,000 and his boss wants to talk to all involved. So they have the meeting without me, and someone leaves a "joke" on the whiteboard: "Step 1: Fire Brand Y". I'm the first one who goes into the conference room the next day to find my lost coffee cup, and I see this message. My boss isn't in yet, so I sit down and fire off an angry e-mail that starts with "Ok, you've fired me. Good! I've always wanted to tell you about what happened between your wife and I!!"

Days that I am sad, days that nothing seems to turn out right. Like the day I had to get my FMLA papers from my mental therapist, but I had to wait an hour so I decided to visit my sister that lived near by, so I took off and got caught by the police in a speed trap near a school zone and got a $260 dollar ticket. The doctors visit was also $115 (not covered by my health insurance), a very expensive day, and I was on sick leave.

Beautiful, sunny and spring like..My mother always told me that I would be responsible for my own happiness in life...She was right..I can still appreciate most the things in life that are free.
