poljot256, I would need more information to make a better answer, but going from what you wrote. I don't see how a private business 'could' enforce company rules on anyone outside of the firm! The public has no allegiance to a private company and is not employed by them or contracted in any way.

For most employers, the bottom line (profits)is the only thing that matters. If your job doesn't feel like a good fit for you, you might want to consider changing employers.
