In the overview of European History, neither one rates more than a sentence in contributions. It the local history of the UK, they were each instrumental in the changes that took place within their own time-line, the Tudors building on the continental advances made possible by the interactions of the Carolingians with the rest of the known world at the time. The Tudors wouldn't even be mentioned at all, except for their great fortune of being in the ruling classes during the time of the discoveries made possible by world-wide exploration.
