"Funky Town" is the one I hear most often. "Fort Worthless" is common. I never hear any locals refer to it as "Cowtown", although that's sort of it's 'official' nickname if you will. You see "Cowtown" printed on crappy hotel brochures for example. This is probably to attract tourists to Ft. Worth's stockyards.
